"Things are not what they seem” is an immersive dive into identity by one struggling to stand on the shifting grounds of intersection, radical joy and healing.
3D audio reactive visuals by al11z will respond in real time to a spectacle containing Djeity's live vocals and piano instrumentation. Utilizing organic and digital production, the black spiritual traditions of past and present and the practices of sonic world building for the preservation of sanity will create Djeity’s deeply personal passage through juxtapositions reminding audiences that the digital is an extensions of ourselves and through embodiment comes transcendence.
