Charlotte Angugaattiaq Qamaniq is an Inuk performance artist from Iglulik, Nunavut. She has over twenty years experience of performing nationally and internationally, is a three-time Juno Award nominee and is best known for her work in the katajjaq (Inuit throat singing) duo Silla.

Inuit spiritual practices, including katajjaq, were forbidden by both Catholic and Anglican Churches during the colonization of Inuit in Canada during the 20th century. As the last Indigenous group to be colonized in North America, Inuit are working with urgency to reclaim and revitalize traditional practices.

For Charlotte, cultural reclamation has not been a straightforward path, but over years of generational knowledge transfer with fellow Inuit, historical archive research, and dedication to craft, Charlotte has earned a reputation as an accomplished and outspoken artist.
