Ash Barbu (they/them) is an Ottawa-based artist, curator, and educator whose work examines the relationship between trans autobiography, queer theory, and curatorial studies. For more than 10 years, Barbu has researched AIDS cultural histories while expanding their interdisciplinary artistic praxis to involve diverse collaborators and audiences. They are currently an M.F.A. Candidate at the University of Ottawa.
Evalyn Shields (she/her) and Sabrina Ferrari (they/them) are a collaborative anti disciplinary queer artist duo who both hold a B.F.A. and are currently completing an M.F.A. at University of Ottawa. Their collaborative practice explores the affective ambivalence and joyous complexity of queer identity in relation to traditional power structures.
