Korea Town Acid
Recording Artist | Live PA | DJ | Curator | Educator
Korea Town Acid is a multidisciplinary electronic artist and producer from South Korea, based in Toronto. Known for her fearless, genre-fluid sound, she blends experimental club, hip-hop, breakbeat, jungle, and cinematic textures — constantly pushing sonic boundaries.

A 2022 JUNO Award nominee for Underground Dance Single of the Year, she also produced on Cadence Weapon’s Polaris Music Prize–winning album Parallel World. With six studio albums and numerous collaborations, her work bridges underground experimentation and emotional depth.
Her global performances span Seoul, London, Berlin, New York, Athens, Riyadh, and across Canada, with appearances at Nuits Sonores, MUTEK Montréal, Pop Montréal, TIFF, and Louis Vuitton Seoul 2023.
An alumna of the Red Bull Music Academy, she’s been featured on BBC Radio 1’s Benji B, Frank Ocean’s Homer Radio, NTS, Rinse France, Worldwide FM, and more. She’s also led workshops with Polaris Music Prize and Roland Canada, and collaborated with Ableton.
As founder of Groovy Lab International, she champions weird, wired, and wavy sounds — a platform for boundary-pushing, future-facing electronic music.
