PARTYGIRL is a South African-Canadian performance and electronic music artist residing in Ottawa, Canada.
Despite producing work in various mediums, there is a consistent feel of cross-pollination between pieces with a focus on exploring social unmasking, the hidden self, grief, and the sensory body. Through their distinct blend of ambient electronic sounds, a DIY production ethos, automatic writing style, and sensual and textured vocals, each PARTYGIRL performance is as refined and intentional as it is seemingly made-up in the moment you find yourself witnessing them.
In April 2025 they hosted their first solo show titled COME BREAK UP WITH PARTYGIRL. A secret and immersive audio-visual live performance using wireless silent disco headphones, based on their album BOKKIE and surprise existential audio-erotica post-break-up EP Sonic Orgasm.
