Raf has touched many corners of Toronto’s music community over the last 15 years. Between curating the bins in various Toronto record shops and now running his record label Orphic Apparition, his ears are tuned to music coming from both the local and international community. His DJ and Live sets are genre-fluid in nature where tracks flow through a variety of tempos and sonic palettes. With many releases under Raf Reza and his aliases, he continues to pull from a wide range of influences.

His debut album Ekbar (out via Telephone Explosion Records) creates a meeting point between Bangladeshi folk music with the UK Hardcore / Bass continuum, through a Dubwise lens. This expansive approach to his musical expression took him across several venues and festivals beyond North America, United Kingdom and Europe, performing as both a Live PA act and DJ. You can also find him on internet radio stations NTS Radio, Clyde Built Radio (Glasgow) and more. Raf’s limitless reach will continue to morph the musical boundaries within dance-floors for years to come.
