sineila’s music crackles and glistens – metallic twangs and blasted-out synths live in symbiosis with reverb-drenched moments of bliss, conjuring up a magical, digital, futuristic sonic world. Through it all, sineila’s emotional, ethereal voice takes the spotlight, dancing with conviction over fluttering, often bass-heavy, beats.
Born and raised in Montreal, sineila’s musical journey began learning classical piano; taking voice lessons; and studying classical violin. This training comes through in sineila’s catalog which sounds anything but classical – combining alt-pop and electronic/dance motifs – yet remains deeply melodic and stirring.
sineila has opened for such artists as Ninajirachi, Snow Strippers and Hannah Diamond – also performing in Tokyo, LA, and NYC – and was featured in Exclaim!'s “Emerging Canadian Artists You Need to Hear”.
