Tafari is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Produced By Youth (PBY) and a Jamaican-Canadian recording artist known as skulK!d and Yung Heat. With over 13 years of experience in producing, engineering, and DJing, he has built a reputation for his genre-blending approach to music and challenging the Canadian rap scene with his alternative sound, reaching millions of listeners worldwide. Tafari has supported hundreds of youth through PBY and other initiatives, providing mentorship, studio access, and creative guidance. He played a key role in crafting the WARP program, led by Debaser, and has hosted numerous community events focused on skill-building, collaboration, and community engagement rather than profit.

Previously, he ran Swoon Studios in Ottawa, creating affordable recording space with a community-driven atmosphere that empowered local artists. Active in Ottawa’s underground music scene, Tafari has collaborated with organizations such as Debaser, Cranium Arts Project, and House of PainT, while producing events and workshops that highlight emerging talent and foster creative networks.

Through PBY, he continues to support young Black artists in Ottawa, helping them develop technical skills, creative confidence, and professional opportunities while emphasizing community, mentorship, and lived experience as central pillars of his work.
