Igbo-Nigerian artist Kanna Anigbogu has a unique approach to linework and gestural imagery. His artwork fuses movement, playful experimentation, Igbo inspiration, and mystery to express imaginative tales that are full of mood and feeling. Kanna explores the relationship between spirit and organic practice, the conversation between conscious and spontaneous occurrences, and the coexisting—and occasionally conflicting—interaction between an entity's aesthetic and symbolic qualities.
